1. Data controller

The controller of personal data processed through this website is DAGO Mermeri DOOEL Veles (hereinafter “DAGO Mermeri”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Contact details: address Akademik Pencho Davchev 174, 1400 Veles, Republic of North Macedonia; company registration number (EMBS) 5548772; tax number (EDB) 400 400 111 21 55; email info@dagomermeri.com; phone +389 70 375 429.

2. Scope of this Policy

This Policy explains how we process personal data collected through the website www.dagomermeri.com when you contact us via the contact and request-a-quote forms, or simply use the site. Processing is carried out in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of North Macedonia and other applicable regulations.

3. Categories of personal data we process

We process only data you voluntarily provide through the forms, plus limited technical data necessary for the site’s operation and security. From the contact form: your role (architect, construction company, dealer, homeowner or other), name, email, and optionally phone, company, country, project timeline, reply language, interest and message, and optionally an uploaded file (see section 10). From the request-for-quote form: name, phone, email, and optionally company, city and an additional message, together with the products you selected (code, dimension and quantity). Technical data: IP address, processed transiently for abuse protection (see section 11). We do not request or process special (sensitive) categories of personal data; please do not send such data through the forms or attachments.

4. How we collect personal data

We collect personal data directly from you — when you complete and submit one of the forms, or contact us using the details shown on the site. Some technical data (such as the IP address) is processed automatically when you visit the site.

5. Purposes of processing

We process personal data to: respond to your enquiry submitted via the contact form; prepare and send you a quote based on your request, and in doing so we aim to send you an email confirmation that we have received your quote request; and maintain the security, stability and functionality of the site and protect it from abuse. We do not carry out automated decision-making producing legal effects, nor profiling.

6. Legal bases for processing

We process personal data on the following legal bases under the Law on Personal Data Protection: (a) for messages sent through the contact form — your consent, given by ticking the relevant box before submission; (b) for quote requests — taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (preparing and sending a quote); (c) for the site’s security and the prevention of abuse (e.g. rate limiting) — our legitimate interest; (d) for Google Analytics cookies — your consent in the cookie bar (sections 12 and 14); and (e) compliance with legal obligations, where such exist (e.g. if a request leads to a contract).

7. Contact and enquiry forms

When you submit the contact form, the data you entered and any attached file are delivered to us by email (see section 9). We do not create a user account and do not keep a database of your messages on the site itself.

8. Request-for-quote (RFQ) processing

The quote form sends us your contact details and the products you selected. The product selection you make on the site is stored temporarily in your browser (see section 13) and is transmitted to us only when you submit the request. After submission, we aim to send an automatic acknowledgement to your email.

9. Email delivery via Resend

To deliver form messages we use a third-party email delivery service, Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). The submitted form content (including the personal data entered and any attachment) is transmitted through this service to our official mailbox, and for quote requests also to your email as a confirmation. Resend acts as a processor on our behalf. The website has no database of its own, nor any CRM or ERP system receiving form data — submissions exist only as email in our mailbox.

10. File attachments

The contact form allows you to optionally attach one file (e.g. plans in PDF, DWG or JPG format) up to 4 MB. The file is delivered together with the message by email and processed for the same purposes. Please do not attach files containing unnecessary personal or sensitive data.

11. IP address and security / rate limiting

To protect the forms from automated abuse, the application transiently uses your IP address to limit the number of requests within a short period. This processing takes place in working memory only, and the IP address is not stored persistently by the application.

12. Cookies

Functional cookie NEXT_LOCALE: a first-party cookie set by the site to remember your language choice (Macedonian or English); it is necessary for the multilingual functionality and is not used for advertising or tracking. Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>): set only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie bar; they serve aggregated visit statistics (see section 14) and last at most 13 months. If you choose “Decline”, Google Analytics does not load at all and these cookies are not set. Your choice is remembered in the browser’s local storage (see section 13) and you can change it at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Google Maps cookies: these may be set by Google when the embedded satellite map on the homepage and the contact page is displayed (see section 16) — they are set by Google, not by us. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. You can also delete or block first-party cookies through your browser settings; blocking the functional cookie may affect how your language choice is remembered.

13. Browser local storage / quote cart

When you add products to “My quote”, that selection is stored locally in your browser (localStorage, under the key dago-quote-v2) and contains only product information (code, dimension, quantity and a timestamp). This is functional browser storage, it stays on your device, is not transmitted to us automatically, and does not constitute personal data. It leaves your browser only when you submit the quote request. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data or using the clear-quote option on the site.

14. Visit statistics: Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics (provided by Vercel Inc., USA) to collect aggregated, anonymised visit statistics (e.g. page views). This service is cookieless and does not create a persistent visitor identifier. In addition, only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie bar, the site also uses Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA) for more detailed aggregated statistics: which pages and products are viewed, which country and city visits come from (estimated from the IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), from which source (e.g. a search engine or social network), on what device and browser, and when a product is added to the quote, a quote request or message is sent, or the phone number, WhatsApp or email is clicked. We send no name, email, phone number or form content to Google Analytics, and the advertising features (ads linking and personalisation) are switched off. The legal basis is your consent; without it Google Analytics does not load. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 23).

15. Vercel Speed Insights

The site also uses Vercel Speed Insights (Vercel Inc., USA) to measure page performance and loading speed. This service is likewise cookieless and serves technical improvement of the site.

16. Google Maps

The contact page and the homepage embed a Google Maps satellite map showing the location of our warehouse. The map loads automatically when you reach it on the page. Your browser then connects to Google’s servers and Google may receive your IP address and set its own third-party cookies. This processing is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policy. The “Directions” and “Waze” buttons open Google Maps or Waze in a new window, where their own terms apply.

17. Other third-party services

Hosting: the site is hosted on Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA), which as hosting provider processes technical data for each request (including IP address) in order to serve the site. Product images: some product images are served from our image infrastructure hosted at Railway (dagoserver-production.up.railway.app); when your browser requests such an image it connects to that server, which as a hosting provider may receive your IP address as part of the normal HTTP request — that server only serves product images and does not receive form submissions or personal-data records. Links to third-party platforms: the site contains links to WhatsApp (wa.me) and to our Facebook and Instagram profiles — these are ordinary links and, once opened, the respective platform’s terms apply. We do not use advertising trackers or social-media pixels.

18. Recipients / processors

We disclose personal data only to: (a) our employees and authorised persons who handle enquiries and quotes; and (b) the processors named above — Resend (email delivery) and Vercel (hosting and analytics/performance), as well as Google (the embedded satellite map and, only if you have consented, Google Analytics), which act under their own terms. We do not sell or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

19. International data transfers

Some of our processors and providers process data outside the Republic of North Macedonia: Vercel (hosting, USA), Google (the embedded map and, only with your consent, Google Analytics, USA) and Resend (email delivery, from servers in the European Union – Ireland). We carry out such transfers only with appropriate safeguards under the Law on Personal Data Protection: the data processing agreements with these providers, which include standard contractual clauses, and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can request more information about these safeguards at info@dagomermeri.com.

20. Data retention

The website keeps no persistent database. Messages submitted through the forms are retained in our official email mailbox for up to 3 years, unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal obligation, protect or establish legal claims, or for another legally permitted purpose. The IP address used for rate limiting is not stored persistently. Browser local storage remains on your device until it expires or you delete it. Google Analytics cookies last at most 13 months, and the aggregated statistics in Google Analytics are kept for 14 months.

21. Data security

We apply appropriate technical safeguards, including: communication over HTTPS (encrypted connection), security headers (including a Content-Security-Policy and strict transport security), server-side validation of submitted data, and anti-abuse measures on the forms. Nevertheless, no transmission over the internet is completely secure.

22. Your rights as a data subject

In accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection, and where applicable, you have the right to: access your data; rectify inaccurate data; erasure; restriction of processing; object to processing; and data portability. The right to data portability applies where processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within the periods prescribed by law.

23. Right to withdraw consent

Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You can withdraw consent by emailing info@dagomermeri.com, and consent to Google Analytics cookies through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page by choosing “Decline” (the cookies are then deleted).

24. Right to object to direct marketing

You have the right to object to processing for direct-marketing purposes. We clarify that this website currently does not carry out any direct marketing — there is no newsletter signup, no email, SMS or WhatsApp marketing, and no advertising tracking. The consent you give in the forms relates solely to processing your enquiry or quote request, not to marketing.

25. Right to lodge a complaint

If you consider that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Agency for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of North Macedonia.

26. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may change due to changes in our services or in the regulations. The current version is always published on this page, with the last-updated date indicated.
