About the material
What is granite?
Granite is a hard and durable natural stone, suitable for surfaces that are used daily and need to withstand heavier loads. Depending on the type, it can feature a fine or more pronounced structure, different grain patterns and a wide range of colours, from light to dark shades.
A polished finish highlights the stone’s structure and colour, while a rough finish provides better grip and a more natural appearance. For this reason, granite is often chosen for stairs, floors, façades, terraces and other interior and exterior applications.

Care and maintenance
- Granite asks for minimal care – a neutral cleaner and water are enough.
- Despite its hardness, avoid hard impacts on edges.
- On exterior surfaces, check the joints periodically – the stone lasts, joints change.
Common questions
No – the color is mineral and UV-stable. That is why it is the standard for façades and exterior elements.
Yes – low absorption makes it resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, well suited to this climate.
Polished shines, cleans easily and brings out the colour – it suits interiors, and polished stairs are used both indoors and outdoors. Rough is for outdoors – stairs, terraces and yards, where the surface must not be slippery. See all three finishes – polished, rough and split face – in person at the Veles warehouse.
